Coach Bios

Shaun Werle

I played three years of attack.  My high school (Nathan Hale) was the first public school in Seattle to have a team.  I decided to join the first time I played catch.  Unfortunately, Central Washington University did not establish a club until after I graduated.  While in Anchorage, AK I helped establish year-round youth and adult lacrosse.  My yellow lab is named Lax.  I am Boys and Girls Level 1 Coach certified by US Lacrosse.

Kurt Weinberg

I played lacrosse at Springfield College in Springfield MA and am a defenseman (long pole) at heart.  As I was leaving my parent's driveway to move to ND, I was offered a job to coach middle school lacrosse in PA.  I teach PE at Pioneer and Highland Acres and have incorporated a lacrosse module into my yearly curriculum.  I have been a Ski Patrol volunteer and trainer for years.   I am Boys Level 1 Coach certified by US Lacrosse.

Tara Geigle

I grew up in New York and have been playing lacrosse since grade school.  I played lacrosse while at Vanderbilt University.  I have lived all over and have settled in Bismarck.  I have my doctorate in Clinical Psychology and also work in the field of Wellness.  I am excited abut how far Bismarck Mandan lacrosse has come and am ready to develop a girls program.  I am Girls Level 1 Coach certified by US Lacrosse.

Heather Davis

I played lacrosse growing up in CT and during college.  While at Northwestern, I helped start the club team that has become a women's lacrosse powerhouse.  I returned to the east coast after college and was able to coach high school, play in an adult league, and do some reffing.  It has been a few years but I'm thrilled to see my three boys playing.  I am Girls Level 1 Coach certified by US Lacrosse.

I have coached youth hockey for years.  I am Boys Level 1 Coach certified by US Lacrosse.

My son and I are lacrosse referees.  I am Boys Level 1 Coach certified by US Lacrosse.

I recently graduated from and played lacrosse at Concordia College.  I have been assisting with youth hockey in Bismarck.

Gary Betting

I played for the Air Force lacrosse team and the UND club team.  I coached tennis and basketball in Grand Forks.  I coached soccer in Bismarck when my kids played.  I am a doctor specializing in family medicine.

Megan Mitchell

I played lacrosse growing up in CT and for Emerson College in Boston.  I was a certified youth lacrosse referee.  I brought my stick to ND in hopes of getting involved with lacrosse.  I love providing the "women's perspective" on the game.  I departed Country Morning Today on KFYR-TV for the bright lights of Cincinnati's TV media.

Chad Haschen

I grew up on the eastern shore of Maryland and have been involved with lacrosse since 1996.  I played defense at Easton High School and was selected to the Maryland senior state all star game.  I have played on club teams at Frostburg State University and Coastal Carolina University.  I coached middle school boys for two seasons.
